Flash 9

edited October 2006 in Technology
Hey, how come no one mentioned the release of the prerelease version of Flash Player 9 on the podcast?

I know Rym and Scott are big Linux peeps. I figured you guys would have mentioned it as a news item.

I've already installed it and it works well.

What I have found funny is the number of stories on Digg related to installing the plug in. What's wrong with people? Doesn't anyone read the "read.me" file anymore?

I've been looking forward to this as I like to watch TV shows I miss on the network's on line site. NBC's on line site is still whacked on Linux though. It shows the commercial and then dies before showing any content...

  • We'll probably hit on it Monday. I personally was waiting to see if any major issues cropped up with it.
  • I blogged briefly about it in regards to watching TV on the net, i.e. the big four networks on line offerings.

The funniest thing had to be FOX's site that said you needed "Windows98 SE or newer" to work...
  • I planned to hit it Monday. Let's just say I am happy so far.
