DS Troubles: Low Contrast Touch Screen

There seems to be a problem, mostly when playing Advance Wars, where my touch screen grows grayer and grayer as I play. A simple fix for this is the close and open the screen, resetting w/e the problem was. I wonder, though, does anyone else have this problem? It also happened in Super Princess Peach but not in any other game that I can remember.

    I don't I can get help, I opened my DS and voided my warramty.

    Wait, you opened your DS? I have a feeling that the two things are somehow connected ^_~

    I was thinking that too but it's obvious I didn't unhook anything because the screen just grays out and flipping the screen easily resets it. There were no switches inside and i didnt open the screen part at all, just the main body.
