Color Issues

I just finished building my new computer and I'm having a problem with the color of my video files. Everything was working fine but then the color in the videos began to look brownish, kinda like an old time movie. I've tried the videos in both VLC and Mplayer but they both have the same problem. I've been looking around online but I'm having trouble finding any solutions.

    Nevermind I fixed it and feel really stupid.

    On a side note pressing Ctrl+G in VLC brings up a set of settings that will let you mess around with things like colour settings.

    This is probably a messed up color setting in the overlay options in the video card driver. Either that, or the monitor settings are off.
