Adding up the numbers for the days on the front page results in 499 episodes.

Plus the two unscheduled episodes, there are 501 (same as what is listed under the tag "Podcasts"). So, if we go by those numbers (which include all the GeekNights Specials), "How To Get Other People Into Anime" was the 500th episode.

Yup, thats the most reasonable choice. Didn't you guys say a while back you would celebrate episodes what were base-2? So shouldn't the next big episode be 512, not 500?

Isn't that generally the case with the big celebration stuff? For now we have 512, 1024 and then 2048. With the current speed of GeekNights we'll bump into 1024 in another two and a half years and 2048 in seven and a half years.
