Real-life "The Birds"

Domoic acid is the supposed culprit of the real-life incident that inspired the Hitchcock movie. It's an algal toxin that builds up (harmlessly) in fish and shellfish; birds or mammals that eat that sealife, however, have all sorts of interesting neurological problems.
