My first attempt at 8-Bit "music"

edited December 2008 in Everything Else
So, guys. I've suddenly found myself in the world of 8-bit music creation. I'm not very good so far, and I've only made one "loop", but I want to hear what you guys think.

I'd say I did fairly ok for this being my first 8-bit thing. I know it's really basic, but do you have any comments or suggestions?

  • What do you use to make it?
  • That's pretty bitchin'.
  • A mix of various programs, utilizing the VST plugin called "magical8bit".
  • I would call it `8-bit inspired´ rather than 8-bit. What you really have there is basic midi drum set with 90´s mobile phone sounds over the top. You need to bring down the range of sounds a whole lot.
  • It's not completely 8-bit, but it uses the 8-bit stylings, of course.
  • Not bad, better than my piss poor attempt in 9th grade CS. Plan on an MP3 anytime soon?

Sounds more 11-12 bit to me.

Edit: After further analysing , I've determined it is actually 13-bit.

  • Or perhaps 14-bit? :D

And I doubt it's worthy of an MP3, Morio.
