Microsoft Songsmith
Has anyone tried Microsoft Songsmith? I downloaded it, but haven't installed it yet since I've avoided Microsoft .NET framework until now.
It still seems pretty cheesy "midi" like, but I like the concept.
At least it's a little more tolerable than online karaoke.

Granted .NET is pretty much a failure as a development platform. It didn't achieve anything even close to what Microsoft intended to do with it. Even so, installing the framework, and using applications that require it, will not hurt your computer.
