What is Green enough?

This is something that I've been thinking about. At what point is a person's life consuming so little energy that it's Green? How much do I have to do to be "doing my part?' Should be measure it in kWhrs? Gallons of fuel? Engine size? Should I be considered more green for rescuing a car from the scrap heap instead of buying a new car?

  • You should watch Penn & Teller's Bullshit about Being Green. Season 6 Episode 6.
  • I don't know, even they sound on the fence about it.

There is much bullshit involved with going green. The buying of hybrids, especially the V6 and V8 hybrids. Carbon credits are utter bullshit. But lets look beyond the green appearances.
  • Watch the episode involving recycling too and there isn't much left to talk about. Use public transportation when practical, don't be wasteful, don't leave the water running. That's pretty much all there is to it.
  • Stop eating beef, drinking milk, and buying leather goods. Methane - its a killer.

I believe that killing yourself would be far more efficient.
