Forum Book trade?

edited January 2010 in Everything Else
I wanted to develope this idea a while ago, mostly on the fact that I really want to read the Prince of Nothing series. Would anyone be willing to lend/trade/give books?

  • Funny, I've been thinking about starting a thread like this for a while. I've got a bunch of graphic novels, manga, and RPG books that I'm probably never going to read again or use, and I'd be so into this.

I did a search for a thread like this, and I found a board game trading thread where Scott recommended everyone using Listal instead of doing it on the forum. You think something like that would be better? Or should we just post everything we want to get rid of, and we can edit the lists as things come in/go out?
  • Well, we can write a post with different lists: What you're willing to give away, what you're willing to trade, etc.
  • Okay, here's the stuff I'd like to trade. In return, I'm looking for Manga/comics, artbooks, and maybe art instruction books -- just make an offer.

(Amazon links to come later, probably.)

How is fantasy art techniques? Is it a good book?
I'm also interested in the Cthulhu RPG.
I'm also interested in all of the art books, mostly because I love artbooks, despised the fact that I don't have many.

    Here's part of my list.

A Practical Guide to Dragons. (not much of a book, but it has helped gather up ideas.)
VH1 100 Greatest Songs of Rock and Roll for Easy Guitar.
    The Practical Guide to Magic
The Cry of Icemark by Stuart Hill
The Emperor's Children by Claire Messud
    The Dreaming Tree byC.J Cherryh
The Best American Mystery Stories 2003 (has a good selection, I enjoyed it throughoutly)
The Poisonwood Bible by Barbara Kingslover
The Illustrated Directory of Fighting Aircraft of World War II

    I'll write more later.

  • There has to be a web site out there for book sharing you can use that is more efficient than this thread.
  • Maybe, Listal somehow?
  • Maybe we can make our libraries with Libra and upload the exports for each other to download or view online? Libra has a pretty good loan tracking system as well.
