PS3 to cure cancer? Say it isn't so!

    You can do that sort of stuff on your PC, it was on Naked Scientists, I wouldn't call it curing cancer, cancer research would be a bit more acurate. I'd prefer to use the one that researches malaria.

    What would be more accurate is that the story is very misleading. It's not that the PS3 is was designed to cure cancer, or will even have this program built in. What they are saying is that Sony says the PS3 = a PC; PCs can run this program that could cure cancer; thus the PS3 could cure cancer by running this program.

    Except that the PS3 isn't designed like a normal PC, not running Windows, and wouldn't be able to run it properly if at all.

    Man I hate GamePro...
