There are still bodies buried in some of the rubble they'll be running past. Police, EMT, and fire resources will be diverted to set up the race course, do crowd control, and etc. Generators and huge amounts of bottled water are being shipped in through already choked shipping channels to support the runners, while people on Staten island starve, dehydrate, and are looted in the absence of adequate law enforcement.
