Stasiland is a nonfiction narrative by Anna Funder. It follows the personal stories of Germans in the immediate aftermath of the fall of the Berlin Wall and collapse of the Stasi. Very relevant to the current events in the US related to government spying, the stories themselves are from a perspective not commonly seen with post-divided-Germany accounts.

  • Well, at the very least the cover on the edition I have seems a lot better.

  • Is there thread for Idoru? I want to talk about it. I didn't remember, but a friend of mine lent it to me a few years ago. I just found it on a bookshelf. Which is handy, if it was five years ago. Now I probably won't read it half as soon or quickly as of it was an ebook.
