A classical guitar piece I just recorded

edited August 2008 in Art!
In the theme of sharing music, which was just recorded, I present to you my "Random Milonga"!

It's an awful version since I recorded it in my garden on my mobile phone, hence the large amount of mistakes and bad quality of the recording:

Random Milonga

Enjoy anyway.

  • You're pretty good at guitar. Nice work!
  • I like it champ. Good stuff.
  • Sounded like I was playing Dwarf Fortress...
  • Nice! You got skills!
  • Compliments = Getting motivated to play more.

Thank you, I appreciate your comments a lot.

I'm not sure if that's a good or a bad thing.
  • I like the sound of guitars, makes me feel warm inside. I like your music, keep up the good work.
  • That's fantastic.
  • Ooh, very warm.
  • That's pretty good. How long have you been playing?

About 2 years of classic guitar.

I just realized that I played the song to slow, so I might rerecord. ^^

EDIT: I've been teaching myself for 5 years.

  • Since I got my digital camera today I decided to try out it's "YouTube" function and record 2 songs, the first one being the Random Milonga:

  • That's kinda awesome. Nice recording too.
I must say that I liked the milonga better.

Though it may not sound like it, but the second one is a lot harder to play.

It's all recorded with the Casio EXILIM EX-Z80:

  • Advertisement much?

I enjoyed them both, especially the first one. I actually enjoyed the slower pace from the cell phone more than the video version.

I thought that might be the case, but I didn't say anything. XD
  • I always feel like I'm playing Dwarf Fortress when I hear classical guitar.

    Nice piece, too.

Yeah, that music is super Dwarf Fortress.

    Most probably.
    Dwarf Fortress
Now I feel like I have to try out Dwarf Fortress...

I'm sorry, but I must disagree with you both. There were a couple of awkward pauses in Etüde, but I still liked it better.

I wish I could play guitar. *Sigh*

So do I. The awkward pauses were me just being really insecure at playing, since I picked up that piece about 2 weeks ago..
  • A friend of mine just recorded me playing. It's the same song, the "Etüde":

  • how many takes?
  • 1 take for that song. A newer, a lot harder song we tried to record took us about 20 takes. In the end we just gave up.
