That was amazing... and mesmerizing... and beautiful.

Thought at the end, I was like "Why is Ananth in there?"
This version is better (I think it's the original music):

Some pretty cool action, and for some reason, it just made me happy.

And for those who don't like that, a short video about why London's roads are a fucking nightmare, and how they narrowly avoided a much worse fate that terrible traffic jams.

EDIT - Found the first episode in that series of two.

They actually had a pretty good one about Julian Assange, Feat. Julian Assange. I'm not sure I'm that fond of the guy, but jaysus, if he ever went into narrating for audiobooks, I'd buy that for a dollar.

Also, Charlie Brooker on the Japan coverage.

  • Love this post by Patrick Rothfuss and especially the news it heralds:
Patrick Rothfuss - The Wise Man's Fear is #1 on the NYT bestseller list

I tried to introduce The Name of the Wind to my wife this past summer with the audiobook as we were on a road trip. She didn't like the narrator's voice or the way he spoke or something but she claimed the story had some promise. So when The Wise Man's fear came out I decided to buy it and the first book in hardback form for my library (a pitiful little thing) as well as to buy the 2nd book on audiobook since I enjoy that format so much. I am happy to give people like Patrick Rothfuss my money for their awesome works.
  • Got into my top choice school, Brandeis. Quoth Heavy Weapons Guy, "I AM VERY HAPPY! HAHAHAHAHAHAAA!"
  • New antwoord video :D
  • I've never really known what to think about Die Antwoord. And something about Yolandi Visser is oddly mesmerizing.
