Sleights

A friend of mine is developing a strategy game called Sleights that came about as an alternative to standard collectible card games. To play, all you need are a chess board, 8-10 game pieces, and a standard deck of playing cards. It doesn't take long to learn, and the gameplay is fairy quick; the average game lasts somewhere between 3 and 7 minutes.     This seems like it could be really fun!

    I'd have to play it to be sure, but it seems like it is really easy to destroy the opponent's mages. Therefore, going first has a huge advantage. On top of that, it also seems like there is a strong luck factor. When there are only a few mages left on each side, it's going to be all about who gets the necessary card, or a 2, to end a stalemate of two solitary mages moving around.
