If that's so then why didn't you make your comment a singular one instead of a quoted one? Not that I care, but your comment is unrelated to the other two.Skyshiro said:

That is the question that plagues and perplexes all us Avatar fans. I felt the series ended the way it should have because that last scene was appropriate and sweet.Ro said:Well, I've just finished the series. I honestly have to say that was probably one of the best animated series that I've seen in a long time. I'm glad I own it, and look forward to rewatching it with my boyfriend and sharing it with friends.
I really enjoyed how they made the animation a lot more detailed in the last few episodes. Those fight scenes were epic.
Now, what to watch next...
To lazy to read 4 pages, but their making a live action movie with that Shamalan guy as the director. I nearly jizzed my pants when I saw the trailer.
The same stupidity that made him type out 'jizzed in my pants', like every other tard on the internet. He also brought new and exciting information.Lordyupa said:If that's so then why didn't you make your comment a singular one instead of a quoted one? The same that made him type "their" instead of "they're," and "to" instead of "too" as well, I'm sure.I LOST COUNT. said:The same stupidity that made him type out 'jizzed in my pants', like every other tard on the internet. He also brought new and exciting information.

While we're on the topic of grammar, I think that "'tard" should be written with an apostrophe.
No, that would screw up the other insult, 'turd'. I picked middle ground.lackofcheese said:While we're on the topic of grammar, I think that "'tard" should be written with an apostrophe.
"According to an interview with the artists of Avatar, Appa's design was based on the Catbus in My Neighbor Totoro, due to the peculiar task of creating a mammal with six legs.

I was reading this on the Avatar Wiki, and I was so happy when I heard about their inspirations 'cause it's a step in the right direction for the possible future of mass appeal of anime not just as an art form, but as a valid form of entertainment that isn't shunned by the majority of people.
Actualy, come to think, it wouldn't, because turd isn't an abbreviation, but 'tard is.I LOST COUNT. said:

A contraction, to be more precise. Most contractions involve the omission of letters in the middle of the word or phrase, rather than the beginning, but if you take examples like "'tis" and "'twas" (though they are archaic) it seems correct to me.Churba said:

I don't have a favorite part, but I have favorite episodes where they are nothing but awesome to me. I'm gonna pull something out of an old thread and use it here to sorta answer the question. Basically they are my favorite episodes and the reasons as to why I like them.VentureJ said:Anyway...so, what was your favorite part of the whole series? Yes it would. Tard is both a single letter misspelling for both 'tard and turd. As I said, it would severely screw up my intentions, the other insult, if I had just used the contraction for retard. Now you two, continue practising rocket science somewhere else. This threain jumped back on rails and moving out of the station once more.lackofcheese said:

My thoughts exactly. I agree with what most people have said about their favorite episodes and parts. The story of Bah Sing Se was really good. I was started crying at the end of Uncle Iroh's story when they dedicated it to Mako because I thought it was very well done and tasteful. I am going to rewatch the series with some possible commentary action to see what was said.VentureJ said:'tard, tard, turd. Does it really matter?
We're talkin' Avatar, here.
I'm not sure this was mentioned in the thread, but in the Book 2 DVD set, there is an extra disc with commentary by both creators and Shyamalan. I've yet to check it out, but it might give a better insight to why he was chosen. Just a thought.speckospock said:Shyamalan was a horrible pick to direct
Goddamn it! I forgot about that, yeah that's up there as well but I haven't seen enough of it. This may be kinda rude, but way to peter out and just take a very unimportant part of that entire diatribe to quote.Li_Akahi said:

Seriously, excellent analysis. You basically summed up all of my reasons for liking this show. The creators of itNEEDto make a new show for Nick. I don't think anything will live up to Avatar, but who knows. I've been surprised before.

As did I. I'm still happy with Aang & Kitara, but I just felt it would have been cooler with Zuko & Kitara. But I guess now there will be an opportunity to make lil' air benders down the road. :PMrs. MacRoss said:That was the ending I was rooting for. Just tell me what you think when you finish it up. To be honest, I only mentioned a few things (some important but whatever) and I was under the impression that you, an Avatar Geek saw the whole thing already since it ended last year. Sorry, but I was only answering VentureJ's request.gomidog said:
It's a Japanese thing, especially in fujoshi circles. Abbreviating the titles of shows (Prince of Tennis=Tenipuri, Hikaru no go=Hikago) and yaoi pairings (Arthur Kirkland x Kiku Honda=Asakiku, Abe x Mihashi=Abemiha) is really common.lackofcheese said:That's just the custom, it seems. Naruto fangirls in particular are guilty of it, but it certainly isn't exclusive to them.
I am a Toph fan. She's probably one my favorite characters. I think it's probably because I can relate to her tomboy tendencies, plus I always thought if I were an elemental bender I'd be an Earth Bender. Her humor and sarcasm are right up my alley and when she can figure out how to do a certain special bending, I was so stoked.Mrs. MacRoss said:Seriously, no love for Toph + Mai?!

EDIT: Oh, Iroh, Appa and Momo never annoyed me either.
