Ubuntu NVIDIA help

edited September 2007 in Technology
I do understand that the driver for the NVIDIA video cards are not perfect however I can't go over 1240X1040 resolution and I'v looked over the Ubuntu forums for help.
Can anyone help me?

  • If you install the newer Ubuntu the restricted drivers manager should let you install the real nvidia driver. You can then use the nvidia-settings program to configure your resolution and such.
  • Just try to type nvidia-settings into the terminal.
