Posting the first five things off the top of my head. There's probably a whole lot else that happened but I've been an isolated person for some parts of the year anyway. That and I probably am not as hardcore as Rym and Scott in the "taking notice of the cool if irrelevant stuff" department, go figure.

    My parents and the private-practice psychiatrists they hired fight against the shcool system and the establishment; I fight for it. They win.
    Getting dicked over because my English teacher was out for the last term, and the sub was less-than-competent.
    PAX-AB hell (which ended up being awesome)
    CTcon hell (which ended up being mildly less awesome)
    My first Otakon (which ended up being somewhere in between)

    More emo-bullshit with the start of the school year, but this time I won.
    Get the best grades I've ever gotten, but my GPA only rises by a little.
    Discover it's really fucking hard to make new friends when the cliques are already formed and you got placed in the "loner stoners."
    Fuck Thanksgiving
    Fuck this year. Can't wait for it to be over even though I'll probably start 2013 just the same.
    I think I can safely say I won't start 2013 like I started 2012.

    Socially, it's been incredible.
    -Meeting new friends and my heroes from Spill in Austin.
    -Starting off the year with MAGFest is the ultimate palette cleanser and best way to start the year. (And met some FRC people, woo~)
    -Getting awesome grades in University, raising my GPA and making lots of friends within the major too.
    -Learned a lot about editing on a visual/audio and written level
    -No longer have any anxieties about meeting new people or going to new places

    On a more personal level, it's been a mess.
    -First Car Accident, really making me fear roads/accidents to a certain point.
    -Fully acknowledging that my brother is a horrible person at heart.
    -Stress has been a constant, never seeming to have enough sleep.
    -Not exercising/dieting enough
    -More separation from local friends. Looking forward to graduation.

    The one exception with all those negatives is getting closer with my amazing girlfriend. I might actually be able to visit her in 2013. Hoping that is a goal.

    My year should start better than last, although the summer will likely be rougher (financially) in 2013.

    Here is a summary of my year: I went to a PAX, school is awful, make all the games.

    I'm hoping 2013 will be Year of Stuff Paying Off.

    Olympics was pretty much the highlight for me, dominated the summer.
    Leeds Rhinos winning another title
    Getting the roleplaying group back up and running after a long break (although we did play board games instead so hardly a bad thing)
    Oh and I became an uncle, oh that should be the highlight really but I went to the Olympics!
