  • Then why is it that only the creepy old guys do it?
  • If they keep accidentally pressing their junk against your arm when you're sitting the chair they're probably a traditional barber. :|
    "accidentally" ;)

Older guys have less fine motor control, tend to lean because of arthritic or weak joints, etc?

I'm sure there's some barber somewhere that's enjoying sexual gratification from the contact with your arm through several layers of clothing, but I seriously doubt there's an epidemic.

And seriously, unless the guy is humping me and really getting into it, what do I care? I'm getting my hair cut. His pants are touching my arm. BFD.

Now, if he cums, I want a discount.

  • I grew up in suburban Connecticut. There were plenty of barbers. Have they all disappeared that recently?

    Here's one my brother likes.

    Here's another one

  • The only babershop near me that is (I'm told) any good caters exclusively to black people. How did I find this out? I walked in one day to try and get a cut and they told me "Sorry, we don't do white people hair. We only cut black folks hair."
I walked out calling them racists and proceeded to go to the nearest Supercuts, where I got a good haircut for a good price. It wasn't as good or as cheap as my barber back in Rhode Island was, but it was a haircut.

But, since I'm growing my hair out, I haven't been to get a hair cut in a year and a half.

It's possible they just might not have much practice with white people hair. I can't go to a white person hair shop, because they don't understand asian hair. (and frankly, most salons are for white people hair only, not in policy, but in practice)

When did you live in RI? did you go to eddie?

  • In my experience it's not a racism thing. There are physical and chemical differences between different ethnic hair types. Stylists tend to specialize in one type, maybe two. The really good ones are more versatile. That doesn't mean white hair isn't worthy to be cut by the black hair specialists; it just means they aren't experienced with it and don't know how to give you the best service. Now sure, they could have said it more gently, but the result is the same: you have to go somewhere else to get good service.

    Ahaha
  • Yeah, what Nuri said. Cuttin' black folk's hair is a different ballgame.

I understand and could accept that if it wasn't for how they said it and if they hadn't given me a "What are YOU doing here" look. I don't call people racist on a whim.

There is a reason why no pictures exist of me from 2004-2005.

  • This was my worst haircut ever. I gave it to myself.
