    Nah, they also have SIGs, TMPs, and MP5s. They don't carry conspicuously, but often they will be carrying at least a side-arm while on duty, with more serious weaponry close to hand.

    Also, papal adresses, when the pope is moving about, any dudes you see around him in suits are Swiss Guard, and armed to the teeth. At the very least, they're usually carrying a pistol and an MP7 under the jacket.
