Domain registration

I'm looking into registering a few websites using the top level country code domain names. Anyone have any sites/services for recommendation? Or an easy(ish) way to check restrictions on that? I know Japan requires you be a citizen. Stuff like that.

Well I've seen a shitload of youtube videos with "sponsored by domain.com" ad's in them so I know they exist but I have no actual experience with them.

I've had good luck with hover.com I've moved my domains to their service.

CGPGrey and Brady Haran both use Hover. I use 1&1 because they're also my hosting service right now.
