Coworker who is a self-described libertarian conservative described Brexit as a great thing for England both economically and to prevent terrorists sneaking in with refugees.
I have no clear picture of what's to come. Article 50 sounds like it will be triggered some time early next year.
Whatever negotiations will happen in the 2 years that follow may just be vetoed by some EU countries. Any concessions will probably be unsatisfactory for the 'brexiters' and 'remainers' anyway. I imagine the longer this whole thing takes, brexiters will grow more frustrated, angry and incoherent.
Progressives will continue to be impotent unless Zeus/ Poseidon intervenes.
