Sentai Filmworks announced on Wednesday that it has added 13 anime films streaming on the Steam platform. All the films launched on Wednesday and are US$3.99 to rent or US$12.99 to buy.
The 2nd film is as great as the first if not better.
To my knowledge, the only animation that came out of the kickstarter was the sequal, which is on netflix, along with the original. I'd also recommend the second movie; not sure if it's better than the first movie, but it's certainly on an equal level.
In other news, despite it not exactly being anime I would highly recommend Thunderbolt Fantasy. It's a puppet show (think Thunderbirds, except the wire team is from chinese theater and looks like this) about a fantastic quest that goes completely off the rails. Now that I've seen it's full run, I cannot recommend it highly enough.
Thunderbolt fantasy is definitely the not-anime-anime of the year for me. Seeing that second season will be coming made me actually really happy. Although I was satisfied with the story and end and all what we got, but more puppet goodness is welcome.
guy, that ending wa the most satisfying ending I've had in a show in a loooong time. It's hard enough to make a good show, it's harder still to make a satisfying ending to a show, let alone a good one.
