Erasing Sharpie marks

So you know, Sharpies are soluble in ethanol.
Some good gin could probably erase a Sharpie mark.
If you want to go nuts, get a lab marker from VWR.

Cheap perfume is better and cheaper, also, there's a pleasing after-smell (provided it's not too cheap).

I don't know about Sharpie marks, but I've often used Butane in the past to remove various substances from various surfaces.

or you can just make a small cut into the panel.

OR find a sharpie the same color of the thing you just made a mark on and color over it.

Uh...I just use rubbing alcohol, like I always have. Comes off pretty nicely.

Hell, if you repeatedly handle a Sharpie marked item, you can rub the marker off. It's especially annoying on glass and plastic.
