Wal-Mart and PC Games

edited April 2007 in Video Games
I was looking around my local Wal-Mart (let's keep the criticism on that aside for now, please) and I noticed something:

There is a remodel going on, and in the rearranged electronics section there appeared to be no PC game section. They had shrunk it down once or twice before but they seem to have dropped it completely now. Anyone else who goes to Wal-Marts notice this in their store?

Note: There are a few of those cheap discs of old Flash games like Bejeweled still around on some little impulse-buy racks but that's all.

  • While this year might bring a slight comeback for PC gaming, it's still in a rut. Consoles are rocking the house, and the 360 is doing everything the PC ever did and more. If any PC gaming is going on, it's not at retail, but more likely just downloaded via something like Steam. I'm surprised Wal-Mart even still had a PC game section to get rid of. EB doesn't even have one.

My local EB actually has more space dedicated to PC games than to Gamecube games.
