Please donate to Letter Carrier Food Drive on May 12
Tomorrow, May 12th, is the annual Letter Carrier food drive. Letter carriers will take any non-perishable food you leave in or near your mailbox to your local food bank. I challenge everyone here in the forum to donate at least one item of non-perishable food if you can.
This doesn't even require a special trip to the store. All you need to do is grab a couple of cans from your pantry and put it out for pick-up.
I volunteered at a food bank when I was young. I was shocked when I realized that the vast majority of their clients were families much like mine. They weren't lazy, just down on their luck for any number of reasons. It really opened my eyes to the way I looked at the world.
