Building a Desktop
I'm going to try my hand at building my first desktop over the summer, and I need some help figuring out what I should buy for it. I use the computer primarily for watching and downloading anime, and occasionally using programs like Word, Excel, and MATLAB. I'm looking to stay somewhere between $300 and $500. I do play games on my computer, but they're primarily RTS games and games like Rome Total War. I know I need to purchase things like a motherboard and memory and all that jazz: I'm just not sure what brands are the ones I'd want and what sort of specs would be adequate for my system. I'm also planning on dual booting XP pro and Ubuntu. Thanks in advance for any help.
