That chart has been one of our inside jokes since 2001. Specifically the part about the people who write themselves into furry Star Trek fanfics as an ocelot or something.
Ah so funny. I've seen it before but now I can have a copy of my very own. I felt bad when I saw all the arrows pointing to "Furries" then I remembered they were Furries.
The furrie thing, especially the erotic furrie thing, has always freaked me out. I have an irrational fear of people dressed up as animals (stemming from a trip to SeaWorld when I was a small child). So the idea that people would want to dress up as animals, and that that would turn them on terrifying.
I guess some people like to dress up and pretend that they are an ocelot, and other people like to dress up and pretend that they are an ocelot having sex.
What is the difference between a furrie and an erotic furrie? I thought they were kinda the same thing...
There are some people out there who just really like anthropomorphic art that is not erotic. They like to draw and look at pictures of animal people, and they really like the idea of animal people, but not in a sexual way. However, I can tell you from experience that most people who claim to be non-erotic furries are either lying or repressing their erotic furry urges. Non-erotic furries exist, but they are few and far between.
This suddenly reminds me of a story one of my friends told me.
She was dating a guy in the navy and she was always big into "alternative" sexual encounters.
Well, one weekend he came home and they were doing their thing. He was a bit surprised to find that she had taped some "fur" to her backside. When he asked her why she said, "Well, I figure you're used to seeing furry butts so..."
