I now have a server. Fear me?
I have made the purchase and I now have a dedicated server. I think I spent more than I feel comfortable with but I know I'm saving money in the long run.
I've got plenty of disk space on the server and a terabyte of bandwidth to dole out. A few blogging friends are going to lease space on the server so it will not be too expensive overall.
I went with BSD for the OS because I am more familiar with it in the server environment. The liberating (and scary_ part is that the server is all mine! The company takes care of hardware failures but everything else is on me.
I should have everything setup and ready to go within 24 hours and then I will begin moving my various websites over.
So, anyone want some web space?
