I can't ever see spending $600 for an IPhone, but Openmoko is interesting. The $300 Neo1973 (feature list) looks awesome, and the upcoming retail version will have wifi and accelerated graphics in addition to the current features.
Seems interesting, but I prefer the Deeda Pi. It also runs linux. The only thing that I could see the Openmoko having over the Deeda is hackability. But if the Pi never comes out, I'll consider it as a second choice.
When I get my next phone I might have to get one of those, even though I don't know much in the ways of hacking. But I guess I would learn in order to do cool stuff with the phone.
Alright. This summer I'm either getting the iPhone 3g or this, since it's been lookingprettyawesome lately. The thing I have to decide is if I'm willing to take a chance on if it lives up to it's immense potential and if I'm willing to wait to get the applications I want that the iPhone has.
