TubeHunter trial - How do I make it work?

edited September 2007 in Technology
Ugh, so bad at tech.. anyways, a couple of weeks ago, I was desperate to download some anime for my anime club. However, the only place I knew to even watch it was youtube. Outta habit, I went straight for Y!Answers, and the guy that responded said to download this thing called "TubeHunter". Apparantly, it can download off of Youtube. Yet.. when I try it, even letting the bar fill up all the way for a short music video (2, 3 minutes), it'll only download maybe 45 seconds, if that. Am I doing something wrong? o.o

FYI, the site is Here

Please and thank you~ <3

    A) Anime on YouTube is a sin. Seriously, bittorrent.
    B) You don't need to download some pay-to-play program. There are several Firefox extensions that will download YouTube, or just get Miro.

EDIT: And you said it's a "trial". It probably only does 45 seconds until you pay.

  • Aw shootz. *sob* Damn pay-to-play..

    Okay, thanks a lot. <3
  • 1. Download MP3 from MySpace, Bebo or Imeem for free even if the "Download" button is disabled.
    2. Download videos from PornoTube, YouPorn, bangbros, xTube(All), Lifeout, phun, smog, Badjojo, RedTube, yuvutu, heaven666, and 139 PornoTube and xTube kind webs.
    3. Download videos from 347 YouTube kind webs.
347 YouTube kind webs... I don't really know what to say about that...
  • ... I dunno either. Especially since if you actually look at the real list... there's no actual Youtube. It's all a form of.. well, porn. O.o scares me.
  • I just want to emphasize - please, please don't download videos of YouTube.  Bittorent is so, so much better and simpler.
  • Firefox extension to download from Youtube is sucky. At least, the one I used. I forgot which it was but it's gone now. I just use Keepvid since that only requires one click to get the download link and is updated by them without any Firefox restarting required. Though you need to rename the files yourself and add the .flv extension to it.

And of course need a flv player, but there's a link on Keepvid for that. Though watch out for the commercial junk it tries to install. Just say no to all things not FLV player.

And I totally agree with Neito and Rhinocero on the anime from Youtube = bad. Torrents are awesome, and have readable subs compared to Youtube versions of said fansubs.

    Good luck kage_rod
