Same thing, right now. My little ibook laptop had the OS reinstalled a few months ago, so I have hardly anything on there at the moment. It's super slow, anyway. Coming up on 4 years old, the little darling. Not to mention the fact that my desktop will be 7(!) this summer. The reason I have been able to put off building a new machine is 1. I rarely game at home and 2. I do all my art stuff using the work computer. All my software that is not open source is super outdated at home, and I haven't really used Navi and Ayumu a ton since college. Moreover when Ayamu's drive died, I didn't have the original install discs for PS and Flash and stuff.

I noticed just now that I actually have quite a bit.
I've really been digging Vimperator, and I'm surprised nobody else has mentioned it in this thread.
That's because I didn't know about it in 2007. =3= Mentioned it in other threads though, sadly I've come to the point where I feel crippled using Firefox without Vimperator.
Kinda funny seeing that old list of mine. I still use (fo)Xmarks, Adblock, Greasemonkey, Stylish, DTA! and Download Statusbar, the rest have become obsolete, I've added a few. Vimperator, Linkification, No Script, Flashblock.
less annoying than the goddamn window that pops open everytime.
Wut? That's a freaking setting dude. It will only pop up if you tell it to pop up.
Allbo is the upcoming augmented reality program that allows you to stream your consciousness and sensorium to Social Networks in realtime.
I thought that sounded awesome, then I thought about the sort of people that, for example, my facebook has ended up full of, and realized that would be the worst fucking thing ever. "WE WON'T PAY TO SEE THINGS, WE'RE SUICIDING IF THAT HAPPENS SIGN UP ALL OF YOUR FRIENDS" Yeah, how about eat a bag of dicks.

Also, Allbo Stalking would be so much vastly creepier than facebook stalking. "I just sat around all day, feeling what you felt."
we allbo.

...damn. I don't know how to describe how I'm feeling...
It's alright, the Allbo hardware does that for you, by muxing your raw brain impulses into a transmissible form and updating your friends periodically.
Be advised that memory bleed, unintended thoughtseep, and loss of self is associated with long-term Allbo usage.
Older Allbo hardware has been known to hog resources. Users may experience right hemispheric fatigue, especially while attempting to perform math or science problems without updating to the latest firmware.
My idea isn't so much "feel what everyone in the network feels," but rather instead of status updates or a feed of your thoughts, you can let someone experience what you experienced in bursts. Enjoyed a particularly good sushi meal at a beautiful restaurant? Had a lot of fun singing karaoke drunk later that night? Allbo it. A friend can open your post, and instantly experience exactly what you experienced in all five senses.
I probably won't write a story about it, as Matt came up with the name and lackofcheese had input. I might just use it under a different name as mundane tech in a different story.
Chrome extension for all you who read manga online: All Mangas Reader. It keeps track of what you've read and makes some improvements to manga site interfaces.
Everyone who has every deleted a forum post, get Lazarus for Firefox. It's just the most awesome thing.
Gah! I just typed a rather lengthy post (yes, right in this thread), and then clicked a bookmark instead of another tab! This Lazarus is getting installed right now.
So, let's see once again, what extensions do I have...
Adblock Plus of course BugMeNot: I don't need it often, but every once in a while it comes in handy. DownloadHelper: Sometimes you just have to grab that embedded video or audio thing! Extended Cookie Manager: Don't know what's extended to it, any cookie manager is fine with me. I had the "do you want that cookie?" window pop up all the time before I started using some cookie extension. Firebug: I installed it when I did some work on a website theme last week. FireGestures: Ever since I have used Opera I need my mouse gestures. FxIF: Yeah, now I can find out what kind of smart phone the people who post pictures on twitpic have! Lazarus... well NoScript: To annoy me when I just wanna watch that video. Open Image In New Tab: I use it without thinking about it all the time, that's why I can't think of a particular use case right now. Shooter: Screenshot tool related to the website theme I worked on last week Tab Kit: Organizes your tabs in a tree-like structure. After a discussion with my housemate about how tabs and browsing sessions could be organized, I found this and tried it. I don't know whether I'll keep it, because I rarely have more than 10 tabs open. Vimperator: To keep newbies from using my computer. Also, link hinting and HJKL-scrolling is what I need. I'm not converted to keyboard-only computering and probably never will be, but it's nice to have less icons and buttons on your screen and more space for actual information.

Cannot recommend this enough. Takes a while to get used to, but it is SO worth it. It's the reason I still stick with Firefox, otherwise I'd be Chroming it up.
Lately I've been especially digging these GreaseMonkey scripts: YousableTubeFix and FBPurity.
Chrome Currency Converter is what I've always wanted. Install it, and all prices on any site you visit appear in the currency you set. You can even set it to round prices.

I noticed just now that I actually have quite a bit.
Calculator: Same reason that Nine uses it.
Download Statusbar: This is so much more convenient and less annoying than the goddamn window that pops open everytime.
Flagfox: I like to know where the servers of sites operate from.
Get Glue: There is an explanation as to what this is on Addicted to Fake Achievements thread.
Google Gears: Probably one of my favorites as it helps things move a whole hell of faster.
IdentFavIcon: An aesthetic choice as I like to see identicons that represent pages.
Pixlr Grabber: What's better than Pixlr? A Pixlr add on.

Plus, Yoono does this thing where you can be on different accounts on the same website in different tabs.
Be advised that memory bleed, unintended thoughtseep, and loss of self is associated with long-term Allbo usage.

Google Dictionary is also handy for looking up words quickly.
Download Youtube used to be a Greasemonkey script I liked. Very minimal, looks like all the other Youtube buttons.
