Scrym, I am begging you. Go download Paranoid Android by Radiohead. I can't believe you haven't gotten into these Albions. They are widely regarded as the most influential, progressive band since Nirvana.
Y'know, while I respect Radiohead a bit, every time someone gushes about them, I'm reminded of this. I mean, they're good, but Christ, they're not THAT good. It's the same thing with Nirvana; they were good, but come the fuck on people.
I think one option for why people were bit torrenting Radiohead instead of downloading it from them was that, was so that they could give the album a listen to one or twice, and then give what they felt was appropriate. Which I generally think would be a good way of distributing audio and video media. Let people see it once or twice for free then have them pay what they want beyond that if they want to see or listen to it more.
