    I played this at the San Diego Comic-Con this year and it was hella fun. I'm totally going to have to pick up a starter set or something eventually.

    Only half of the Pokemon appear in the 'clear' package area.

    Yes and no, but Steve beat me to it in the explanation department. You can only see one or two of the figures in the pack, with the "mystery figure" being covered by opaque bubble pack instead of a clear one. One way or another you're getting at least one random figure in your booster, which you may or may not already have.
