Power Grid

edited November 2007 in Board Games
I played my first-ever game of Power Grid this weekend. I really liked it, and was all set to buy a copy until I started thinking about it a little more.
It seemed like the choices you make are pretty darned obvious. Build what is cheapest, buy the most efficient power plants, etc. Sure, the other players can do things you did not expect, but that rarely happens.

What do people think? Is this game really that interesting after several plays?
