Anyone else get their copy today? I got my hardcover (20 bucks!!!!!!) in the mail with the rest of Oldboy! :D I can't wait this is going to be a lonesome geekend.
I read the first chapter of MW and it covered a lot of interesting ground. It looks to be very interesting so far - more to come! :D

Very gripping throughout for me, I'll be re-reading it for sure.
MW is a weapon. Leave it at that for now. Read it.
It's a Tezuka manga.
My moneys on it standing for "Million Women", some kind of Über harem manga.
I was under the impression we knew it was a manga... Because he said it was a manga. Apreche also said it came in his comic box... and that it was a hardcover.
Either way, meh.=D
If homosexuality scares you bud, stay away. Very. Far. Away.

It is not that scares me is that I cannot stand extremely graphic scene. I mean Ode to Kirhito had some pretty strong scenes but they were not very graphic.
I do have to say that I did see the twist coming at the end during the climax, but it doesn't mean it still wasn't a good twist.
One is Tezuka's BS in his reluctance to specify certain things, such as dates or places. The "Prefecture S, 196X, R Air Base, Nation X" kind of stuff just annoys me to no end. There is simply no purpose to it.
Secondly, the pacing is a bit weird, but that could be a problem with the translation and the rewrites due to it being published flipped.
Also, the twist at the very end [Spoiler: When the surviving brother in fact turns out to be Michio] was telegraphed to no end.
Crowbaring these attempts at "timelessness" into it is simply completely unnecessary, especially considering the direct mention Tezuka makes of the Vietnam war.
