BSOD

edited November 2007 in Everything Else
I think this may indeed qualify as the largest Blue-Screen-Of-Death in history - especially that it lasted for more than 24 hours.

  • Awesome. The one I'm looking out for is someone getting a blue screen in linux with virtualisation. That or a picture of bill gates pointing at a screen just as its BSoDs

It's pretty hard to get a blue screen in a virtual environment.
  • I dugg that yesterday! o: Also, OSX BSoD, really?

You could play some sick Pac-Man on a set up like that.

(don't know if the pics fit because the system isn't actually crashing, the kernel just has a problem with a command it doesn't understand/know)
  • It looks like you've crashed your launch bar by putting too damn many icons in it :D

Took the words out of my mouth. What good is a slick interface if the user clutters it up?
  • Actually there is no problem with the dock when there are many icons. The last.fm app made it panic twice, when Azureus, iTunes and Firefox downloaded at the same time and I tried to quit it.

If OS X crashed because of a dock with many icons, it would simply be laughable. Most of the time people on windows clutter up their start> all programs menu (at least it happened for me), it may load some time but it should never crash the machine. Also why would a semi full dock crash my Macbook Pro, it runs Bioshock perfectly and the same goes for The Orange Box and the dock consists of links back to the app and the icon (which is saved in many different seizes so scaling isn't even required).

If your system crashed because of too many links/icons on your desktop you should seriously consider switching to another OS or upgrade your hardware.
  • Apprently, you come from a culture without sarcasm.

Spinning beachball? What I wondered was if anyone could confirm the stuff said in that one post. About those screens being hooked up to a Mac. Then again, why would a company use Windows for such huge screens, they need stability!

Well my ISP has problems with getting sarcasm over to me.

Also most of the time I take things personally :/
  • I see you be rocking the Junior Senior. Proceed.

That was the first thing I noticed. That video is awesome.
  • I wonder if any of the IMAXes have computer compatible inputs..
