The scary thing is, a very clever advertiser could probably turn a product into an Internet meme, and wind up having that become a very successful product. If someone learned how to capitalize on that effectively, they'd just pwn everything.
Oh, theres "Cillit Bang". Bang, and the dirt is gone. Though that wasn't the Advertisers, I think it was just a bored person. Funny thing is, after seeing that flash, I saw on TV a very similar product, with a very similar ad. It actually looked like the product name was photoshopped over it, and the audio had the name of the product dubbed over the other one. It was "Easy-Off Bam. Bam, and the dirt is gone." I think it was the same company, but for some reason, they decided that Easy-Off Bam was a better name for a product than Cillit Bang for an Australian audience.
The problem with doing something unique/cool as leek spin is that you really can't know how popular it will be. It is rare for major companies to do something remotely different from their standard. My client rejects all of our awesome designs for the design that looks closest to their shitty print adverts.
The torrent I found somewhere actually has a techno remix in it. Its quite entertaining, but can be disconcerting at times. I only now realise, after like 90 hundred weeks that I forgot to mention it :P

Just when I was about to think about making my own RymLeek flash (when Sail provided the link to the "source"), Mitsukai has beaten me to it. Unless that was the version I remembered seeing (until the old link got broken or something), then thanks overall.
Nah, I made it using photoshop (making 7 pictures) then using flash for the first time ever. I'd say it was a good learning experience if nothing else.

I can't see anything to do with sunyit.edu, actually.
There I think everyone should be able to get to that one.
Worth the trouble just to revive spinny, leeky memories... Now to figure out how to stop it playing without doing damage to my brain...
