Here in Baltimore I have only seen about 5-8 PSP that people are using in public. The first bunch were in the Pre-reg line at Otakon. Then I saw ONE at a restaurant on Mother's Day when we took my Grandma out for dinner. That's it. I can count the number of times I have seen them. The DS? Holy shit....at the restaurant above, I saw something like 5 of them alone.
Also a buddy of mine who works for MS (and was at E3) said he saw a total of 4 PSPs.
Anyone who can provide me with a picture from this year's E3 of a single person (who isn't a SONY employee or using a SONY demo system) playing with a PSP will win a prize.
There were supposedly four people who had and played with PSPs at E3, compared to the hundreds and hundreds with DSs. I'm looking for ANY picture of someone playing a PSP at E3.
The PS Spot beams out game samples to anyone within 10 feet with their PSP Wi-Fi switch flipped up. The demos are fully playable but can’t be saved once the handheld is switched off, so no take-away fun here; still, the masses were lapping it up.
Anyar does win ;^) (Believe me, we're keeping track of who we've promised things to for whenever we actually have merch to give away).
Now, I'll double the prize to anyone who can provide any -other- pictures of people with PSPs. ^_~
The PSP is neat, but I'm convinced it will follow the path of the Game Gear. People who owned them (myself included) thought they were awesome, and people who saw them also thought they were awesome. Despite this, they languished in the market and slowly died for lack of developer support and user base.
I loved my Game Gear, but the Game Boy was a much better system in the end despite its technical weakness.

Caption from this site: I think I found your 4 players.
"who isn't a SONY employee or using a SONY demo system"
Actually, I still really like PSPs.
Also, I know 1 person with a DS, and about 10 people with PSPs.
