Yet another PC rhythm game workalike

edited December 2007 in Video Games
Following in the spirit of games like StepMania and Frets on Fire, which are adaptions of console rhythm games to the PC, it's Osu!, an Osu! Tatake! Ouendan!/Elite Beat Agents adaption for the PC. It works pretty well (better, I think, than FoF or SM), but it does suffer a bit from having the mouse (a relative pointing device) doing the clicking and dragging. Still, it's pretty fun if you like this kinda stuff.

  • Darn, doesn't work in wine. *prods his XP partition*
  • Man, after watching Superbad, those pictures are disturbing :(
  • Interesting, I'll have to check it out.

Though it'd be even better it was a homebrew for the DS so I could have Ouedan with custom tracks; also needs the player models and storylines.
  • I don't think it would be quite the same without the stylus.

I tried playing it on my laptop, and it's actually super fun. It would be better with a touch screen, but it's still pretty cool. Then again, I've never played the game it's based on.

Well, it works quite well with the graphic tablet.

I can see it working perfectly with a tablet PC too.
