Boeing 787 wireless vulnerability. Seriously... who designs this stuff?

  • Wtf is that picture? If it's supposed to be funny, then I don't get the joke.
  • It is supposed to be "funny" (yet sad) commentary on the article. It was sent by a friend along with that article to me.
  • An Airbus A310 is an airplane. It's a joke to Boeing 787's where the plane provides you wireless internet, but it's directly connected to the important bits of the plane.
  • I seriously doubt this will remain a "vulnerability" for very long.
  • If the issue is that the 787 has a vulnerability, wouldn't this have been funny if the cartoon depicted a vulnerability to the 787?

As it reads now, it's entirely unfunny.
  • I think the comic is poking fun at the new, advanced airplanes as a whole.

Uh... yeah. I hope he's got a decent day job. The A310 was launched in 1978.

  • To be fair I think he just found a funny picture. He's an IT guy, not an artist. I've update the image in Photoshop so it's correct.

However I find it more interesting that most people are commenting on the image than the actual problem mentioned in the article (unless most don't consider the vulnerability to be an issue, in which the image would take front stage I guess)

It'll be fixed. Or they'll get their planes back.
  • While on a special trip to Boeing, I was given the opportunity to buy a 787. Unfortunately, I did not have millions and millions of dollars on hand, so I passed.
