College celebrating geeks... for a week

Just thought I'd share something that is happening at my University (SUNYIT) starting this coming Monday for a week's time. It's called Geek Week, I had a little something to do with it as I am the president of the Anime Club. It has some interesting things going on. Just thought it was interesting that staff is starting to recognize the inner geek... maybe.

    Outside of the internet, whenever I see a self-consciously geek-themed event it usually has more to do with parody than celebration... though that can be fun too with the right mindset. ^^; The best parodies come from those closest to the source. ^^
