Multi-User WordPress

Anyone have experience with the multi-user version of wordPress? I've been tasked to add subdomains for all of the local Girl Scout troops to our existing site and I was planning to use the multi version of WordPress for this.

I used WordPress last year for our camp site and it worked out great. I figure WordPress is the most user friendly software choice out there for this sort of thing. When I'm done each troop will have their own blog site for passing on information.

Movable Type might be a bit closer to what you want. I've used it in the past for a multiple blog site, and it worked very well, even handling subdomains.
