Scientists grow a beating heart from cell scaffolding.

I found this story positively amazing. Apparently, they can remove the actual cells from a heart leaving what they call a "cell scaffold" behind. Then, they can re-introduce another cell and it will take to the scaffold and grow, essentially making the entire organ. They actually remade a heart and got it to start beating again with different heart cells! They said the next step for them is to attempt the same with pig hearts, because of their similarity to a human's. Below are links to the story and a video that shows the process.
