Desk lighting

edited February 2008 in Everything Else
A while ago the daylight lamp my grandmother got me puffed out the magic smoke and I haven't dared to plug it in again. I am thinking of getting some LED clip on lamps from ebay (this kinda thing). Two to use with my drawing/desk stuff and the other one to keep on top of my bunk to read and write by. Has anyone had any experience with LED lamps in terms of how good they are for getting accurate drawing tones? (As I recall, drawings done under a daylight lamp always looked much closer to the scanned image than when under warm light lamps.) Could one use them in the place of a daylight lamp or are they not bright or white enough?
