According to Wikipedia, they're some sort of megaentity that united a bunch of other groups under one heading like some sort of gaming Megazord. The biggest part of them seems to be gamepolitics.com. So they sound semi-legit.
I don't know anything about the ECA, but I know and trust gamepolitics.com. If they truly are related, then that is a point in their favor.
I suggest talking to them, then making some sort of agreement where you have a backout plan. That way, you can get whatever benefits they might have to offer, but if they suck, you just go back to the way it was before they showed up.
