  • Electric trumpets and MIDI trumpets exist already. ^_~
    They can't be that good.

If you can come up with a device that can translate air coming into a brass instrument mouthpiece into a digital signal representing the appropriate frequency, you will be very wealthy.

Yes, I know about the things you can do with the mouthpiece. Trumpet Hero would be a simulation, not the real thing. I think the loss of the mouthpiece action would be no less a loss than the loss of real function that the Guitar Hero guitars necessitate.

Are the electric and MIDI trumpets packaged as games?

They know what note you played. They don't capture tone, but they know the note.

My level of dislike for Pop'n Music and the people who play it knows depths beyond what mere mortals can conceive...
Why? Now, I'm not a big fan of it, but that's mainly because it's so inaccessible in America. I just wanna know because you've never really given a reason.

I can't see why you despise pop'n so much, yet don't seem to hate many or any other rhythm games that badly. Pop'n is VERY similar to beatmania and keyboardmania, but I don't see you going around trashing those games...
