Most hated game

edited February 2008 in Video Games
What are your most hated games. It could be because it sucks, you like it but it is to hard, or whatever reason.
My most hated game is Adventure island 2/game genie. I know what you are thinking, "It wasn't that hard, and the game genie would make it easier right ?'. Wrong you try to play it with unlimited lives on a level with no items, checkpoints and no ability to get the password! The 1st one was hard to.

  • Star Fox Adventures. I hate that triceratops with a bitter passion and you cannot have a Star Fox game without the Arwing!
  • I hate World of Warcraft. The MMO and it's TCG spin-off almost entirely destroyed the local Magic: The Gathering scene.

They're coming out with a WoW miniatures game. Death of Warhammer imminent?

I'm beginning to thing that WoW is the new D+D. Slap that logo on any fantasy nerd product, and it destroys everything else regardless of quality.
  • I hate most movie based games, teh suckage.
  • Ping pals for the DS. I played that for two seconds in the store and my hate for it was instant.
  • I hate the three part Lord of the Rings board game put out by Rose Art. I have the third game and the instructions make no sense at all. Not even the members of BGG were able to decipher those rules into a playable game.

    I lol'd.

Warhammer has always been a niche product. I'm certain that anything Blizzard designs will be far inferior, and the dedicated base that plays it will continue playing.

Of course, it'll probably be cheaper, even though it's gonna be collectible.

I don't think Blizzard is making it. Some game company just bought the license.
  • I once got an Inuyasha turn based RPG...that was before I had taste and could still tell the game was total shit. I hate it because I spent FUCKING $50 on it! I think I only got like $7 when I sold it back to Gamestop too...
  • Sudeki for Xbox. It didn't click with me at all. Maybe it was the ugly character design and everything was too day glo. Plus I didn't like the story when I was playing it.

Another game I hate is the Sims. I just don't see the crazy love other have for it. I tried it out for about a week and it's another game that didn't click with me. I like my games to take me out of this world. Not replicate it.
  • That one Ultima game for the SNES.
  • I'm gonna get beat for this...

    Either Bully or Star Fox.

I thought that game was good, until the part with the tribal trials or whatnot. It was almost impossible to hit "A" so fast to beat that stupid guy. I haven't played it since.
  • Dragonball Z: Taiketsu for GBA and Marvel: Rise of the Imperfects for DS both nearly destroyed my soul. I bought the first, I still don't know why, I must've thought it was a good deal. The second I received as a gift from a person I'm not sure I should still consider a friend. I've contemplated getting him the boxed set of Godannar ever since as a punishment.

I'm not a huge fan of fighting games, but when they're good, they're great, when they're bad, they're oh god, just horrible.
  • I didn't think that Taiketsu was that bad, it was just kind of meh. It was also stupidly easy. If you thought taiketsu was bad then you should play the 1st Yu Yu Hakusho game for the gba!
  • The one I hate the most that I actually own, off the top of my head, is The Rocketeer for the SNES. It has never held my interest for any amount of time and I haven't played it since I was 10 or so.

Secret of the Cursed Mask . . . ugh. I got it for 5 bucks and I still want my money back.

    What? Godannar is awesome!
  • This is the worst game ever. I was browsing through the racks of a local game shop, and I came across this game for $20. I'm usually willing to overlook certain flaws in a game if the story can keep me hooked. This had no real flaws (other than mostly dull gameplay), and I was feeling unusually patient, so I actually played the game all the way through. The ending was almost non-existent - I literally went back to a save and replayed the ending three times to make sure it really was the end. If there was a gag ending, like just showing a picture of goatse or tubgirl after the final fight, it would have been more fulfilling.
  • The only game I can say I loath is WOW. It's not that it's an MMO, I am an avid GW player. It's that it sucks up more that 50% of the MMO market. On top of that there is the cartoon like graphics and the never-ending grind fest. I prefer skill based games over the age based games. If I had more money then sence I might play but again its too much to pay for a broken game

Wow, a GW player complaining about WoW. Seriously, you might as well be playing Diablo 2, which is essentially the same thing but better. And complaining about the graphics, I guess every game should look like CoD4 and not at all stylized like TF2. WoW has its place, I play it with my girlfriend, she can accomplish things simply because it doesn't require a great deal of skill, and we can have fun together. But what is the closest thing we've had to a skill based MMO? Planetside perhaps. Still there are rewards for having accomplished certain goals. Thats what keeps people coming back, it is a game designed not to be the best, but to be good enough to keep you coming back and paying money.

    Puzzle Pirates.

I guess so, but it seems more than a little sad when you think of it that way.

    It is sad.

I can't stand those "Petz" games, they're starting to get ridiculous.

    EDIT: They started ridiculous.
