OCD Boredom: looking at every program available in Synaptic Package Manager.

edited February 2008 in Everything Else
I finished all of my hobby projects for now and I don't feel like working. So I thought I would read the descriptions of all the programs available in the Synaptic Package Manager. Now you might think this would be boring, but it's really undiscovered country. There are programs for artificial life, emulators for Apple IIes and an incredible amount of hacker tools. And I have to mention the program on receiving faxes via radio waives through your sound card and of course all of the ham radio utilities. I'm only in the "Bs" right now, but I hope to make it into the "Cs" by the end of the evening. Some of the programs I'm even interested enough in to download.

I suggest doing it by categories instead of alphabet. You are going to be mighty bored when you get to the Ls.
  • You are going to end up installing so much software you will use one time it's not even funny. Trust me I know I've been there.
  • It always makes me sad when I do that, because I get all these cool new programs that I never use even once.

    It's so true.
