I know quite a few of the people on here are musicians, so I thought this would be a good idea.

Anyway, here's a demo for a song that a few friends and I made up this morning. You can hear me yelling instructions at the synth and guitar player, haha. And yeah, it sounds like garbage, because I recorded it on a single $15 Logtech mic. And, yes, the drums do sound like shit at the end and the guitarist does screw up quite a bit. This is our first time recording any music, haha.

I don't know how I missed this, but here is one classic guitar recording I did a few days ago. Anyone who knows just a little bit about classical guitar will realize that my playing is mediocre at best. The only thing I can say to defend myself is, that I had to record it via my electric guitar. ^_~

Here are a bunch of mp3s from a punk band I was in between about 1999 - 2006 or so. It's just dumb punk rock, but if you like that stuff, it's pretty cool. I'm slightly ashamed of some of it now.

Here is the GT Symphonic Band concert this spring. We aren't great, but pretty good considering we have no music majors at Tech and pretty much all of the people are some sort of Science/Engineering/Computer major. Tracks 1-4 are four movements of a single piece with the other two being separate pieces.

I've got a track that's kind of a demo, kind of a finished song. Ideally, I'd like to make the whole song as good as the last 25 seconds. But I'm fairly happy with the way it is, even if I still suck at guitar.

Bear Police, I promise I'm still working on Taps. I just got struck with this yesterday and had to record it.

I mentioned in another thread that I got more out of a bad breakup than an animated gif comic strip. Here is one song I wrote 6 months later in more of a "bitter" phase. This was a first recording, demo style, but I still want to write a few more lyrics to add in now I have the benefit of hindsight. Most of my songs are written then develop over a period of years.

@ luke burrage, I really wish I had this track eight months ago. Very nice.

Also, a friend and I remixed some audio from an anti-bailout protest he recorded on Wall Street a few months back and added a hip hop beat--the content seemed to warrant it. I find it terribly twisted, particularly the part with a girl giggling in the background.

The free version of FL Studio and Audacity. It'd be nice if I actually had some money to spend on proper software, but I've managed to make this setup work pretty well.

Man. I actually bought FL Studio Producer version, as well as the SimSynth and Sytrus plugins, AND ReNoise, and look at me. I don't do shit. Good for you for doing something with what you've got.
